Refund policy

At Moto-Vault, we stand behind the quality of our products and aim to provide every customer with a hassle-free shopping experience.
This policy complies with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECTA). Nothing in this policy limits your legal rights under South African law.
1. 7-Day Cooling-Off Period (Online Orders)
If you purchased your item through our website, you may cancel your order within 7 days of receiving it.
To qualify:
- The item must be unused.
- It must be in its original packaging.
- All accessories must be included.
- Proof of purchase is required.
Customers are responsible for the return courier costs unless the item is faulty or incorrectly supplied.
2. Faulty or Defective Products
Under the Consumer Protection Act, all products carry a 6-month implied warranty against manufacturing defects.
If your product is:
- Defective
- Damaged due to manufacturing
- Unsafe
- Not of acceptable quality
You may choose one of the following:
- Repair
- Replacement
- Full refund
Moto-Vault will cover the return shipping costs for approved warranty claims.
3. Incorrect or Damaged Orders
If you receive:
- The wrong product
- A damaged item
- An incomplete order
Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with:
- Your order number
- Photos of the product
- Photos of the packaging
We will arrange a replacement or refund at no additional cost.
4. Change of Mind Returns
If you simply change your mind:
- The item must be unused.
- It must be returned in its original condition.
- Original packaging must be included.
Return courier costs are the customer's responsibility.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
5. Items Not Eligible for Return
Returns cannot be accepted where:
- The item has been installed or used.
- The product has been intentionally damaged.
- Damage occurred through misuse or improper installation.
- Normal wear and tear has occurred.
- Parts or accessories are missing.
This does not affect your rights regarding defective products under the CPA.
6. Refund Processing
Once your return has been received and inspected, we will notify you of the outcome.
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to process the refund.
